Protect My Work has been developed in order to enable individuals and organisations to proove copyright of their work and prevent it from being unlawfully used. We provide a deterrent to any one wishing to use your work without permission.

The most important factor in establishing your claim in any dispute is having proof of date and authorship. Protect My Work will not only keep a record of the work, but also the date and time it was received. This may help members to claim compensation and recover costs should someone be found in legal action to have infringed copyright .

Copyright protection is an automatic right under international law, however evidence will be required to support your claim. The evidence we provide is stronger than postal/envelope systems where you retain the work yourself.

What is different about Protect My Work to other similar services:

Our revolutionary email system is without doubt the easiest and fastest way to submit your work; you do not even have to visit the website, it can all be done through email! Gone are the days of lengthy login's just to submit a piece of work. Our system will save up to five attachments, other email addresses it was sent to, the body text of the email, and even the IP address and mail client of the sender. There are two easy ways to protect your work with Protect My Work:


Submitting by email:

Our email service is very simple with no need to install software or login to our website to protect your work. When emailing your work to a third party (e.g. your client), simply 'Cc' or 'Bcc' the email to protect@protectmywork.com. Or just email the work direct to protect@protectmywork.com.

Our database sends an email confirmation to you to ensure that you want this work to be protected. Once verified, up to 5 attachments will be saved onto our system (note: total size of email must be less than 20MB), any text in the body of the email will be recorded and saved along with the date and time it was received. Each piece of work you register is assigned a unique reference number and password, which will be emailed to you. You can pass this onto third parties who can use it to view that piece of work online at www.protectmywork.com.
